Mitsubishi UBE Cement Corporation provided our by-products for their academic presentation (V-318)

– Potential for CO₂ Reduction and Strength Enhancement Demonstrated –

Hydrogen Technology Inc. (Head Office: Tokyo; President & CEO: Yasuhiro Yamamoto) announces that it provided its by-products as research materials for the research paper [V-318] “Study on the Fresh Properties and Strength Development of Geopolymer Mortar Using By-Product Alkaline Solution as an Activator” presented by Mitsubishi UBE Cement Corporation at the Japan Society of Civil Engineers 2025 Annual Meeting held on September 8-12, 2025.

 Provided By-Product Material

  • By-product water glass (Sodium Silicate Solution)
  • By-product Sodium Aluminate (Sodium Aluminate Solution)

Both are by-products obtained from part of our hydrogen production process. Under appropriate quality control, their use as alkali stimulants in geopolymer-based materials is being investigated.

Findings Based on Conference Presentation (Abstract)

  • Compared to conventional concrete, an increase in compressive strength was demonstrated.
  • Potential for reduced CO₂ emissions during the manufacturing process was indicated.
